Center for Global Engagement

The Center for Global Engagement (CGE) advances global learning at Columbus State University by providing a comprehensive suite of international and intercultural educational opportunities. The CGE supports and manages Study Abroad and Study Away programs;  the International Learning Community; and nationally competitive fellowships and scholarships, including the Gilman, Boren, Fulbright, Marshall, Rhodes, and the US-Ireland Alliance.

The CGE coordinates the academic programs at the Spencer House in Oxford, England, offering immersive global learning experiences for CSU students and faculty. The Center also houses the Korean Institute at Columbus State (KICS), which promotes Korean cultural education and supports global engagement initiatives with Korea and the State of Georgia.

As the primary resource for international student and scholar services, the CGE provides comprehensive advising for individuals on F‑1 and J‑1 visas. The Center manages international recruitment and admissions,  international exchange partnerships, supports international faculty development, and facilitates faculty exchange programs. The CGE also collaborates closely with the English Language Institute (ELI) to ensure a seamless and supportive experience for all international students and scholars at CSU.
